Thanks. f I could just get my larger tank to not kill zoas on contact, I’d be doing great. I got it about a year ago snd it does well with most other corals, but Zoas die almost instantly.

it was a FOWLR tank for years and I bought it that way with fish snd all. Water changes come from same premixed rodi with tropic marin pro reef, but if I take a zoa from the cube and put it in the 75, it dies almost instantly.

my mistake there was not replacing the sand bed with the move, I think. Hopefully I can remedy the situation so I can start a zoa garden in the other tank.

Here's my 32 Gallon Cube (14 months old). Just completed my fish community!! A black O. Clownfish, gladiator clownfish, yellow watchman goby and tiger pistol shrimp, mandarin Goby and royal Gramma (She's the newest addition)

Here are some updated pics of mine. Coraline has grown quite well in the last 3-4 months. As well as my anenomes! One small anenome split for me as well! I also added a lawnmower blenny. It'll be corals only moving forward. I've got enough fish in here!

No STONY corals come from the Caribbean. However, some other corals, such as gorgonians, ricordea floridas, and (I think) zoanthids come from the Caribbean. Also, some Caribbean corals can hitchhike on aquacultured live rock.
We do collect fish and inverts (maybe I'm not sure) from the Red Sea, but it has been illegal to collect corals from there for a long time. The only stony coral collected from the red sea was for a public aquarium, which that coral then got hobbyists' hands.

There are actually stony corals from the Caribbean, a lot were obtained before bans or come in on the Live Rock... which is legal. Things like Rose Coral, Ivory Bush Coral, and sometimes types of Brain Corals can come in on Live Rock. Just these stony corals cannot be sold... only gifted.

Yes, Gorgonians, Floridian Ricordeas, other Mushrooms, Zoanthids and Palythoas are legally collected and sold within the aquarium hobby! Which is great for people like me doing a biotope aquarium. I'm actually getting a license to collect these within the next week. But there are legalities behind permits, there's obviously bag limits and regulations (E.G. you must have a live well or cooler with proper aeration to keep the corals alive and healthy, corals must be kept alive, certain number of polyps maximum to be collected per zoanthid colony, octocorals are limited to number of colonies collected, maximum amount of substrate can be collected with an octocoral colony.) There's also different permits... recreational (Collecting for yourself, no selling what you find.) and commercial (You can sell what you find.)

fusion nano 10….mostly soft coral with a couple pieces of lpS. The green tip torch Is by far my favorite. Fire fish and b/w clown fish. Cleaner shrimp is the most entertaining By far haha.
