@ 4 weeks since I ordered from Dr Reef I decided to reach out this morning as I haven’t got any updates.

“After a cold freeze through the midwest some of the fish did not make it so we had to start over that is why it is taking a long time. It is on schedule to ship the week of 3/23.”

So I guess 3-4 weeks has turned into 8+ weeks with no update. I read the reviews and still ordered so I guess it’s my fault. I’m guessing since they told me the fish were in QT

1) someone else’s fish died in shipping and mine replaced it
2) they lied and they weren’t in QT (I checked before I ordered for ETA and all fish I was ordered where in-stock)
3) they had a freeze in the facility which caused the death (I find this very unlikely)

A quick email or call with a update would have kept me happy but now I’m shopping

Reefdose 2 now running (dosing All 4 Reef) and added 2x Nero 5 to the Nero 3. Everything is acting very predictable and this is ALMOST easy. *Knock on wood* Just got a email tonight my Top Lids Lid just shipped. I got a bunch of WWC coming around the end of the month and that is when the next wave of fish (fingers crossed) will arrive. I can’t lie it’s a tight squeeze down here but dang I love this massive refugium

Still waiting on fish although HOPEFULLY should be here mid next week. Tank is moving along. Chalice, birdsnest, torches, RFA, large feather dusters, ricordia mushrooms (girls little garden) all doing great and everything seems to be growing. Really no actual problems or issues. Nitrate has been riding right around 20-25 and phosphate right around .1-.08 mag 1400-1425 cal 430-450. It’s been 15 weeks almost 4 months and I haven’t done a water change. I’ve done this because I feel the load I have had on the tank has been very low and I’m dosing All 4 Reef and testing for the main things. I spent a couple days and got 30 gallons mixed in a brute trash can. I let it mix for 24hr and than used the same redsea foundation 2 part to pretty much match my targets mag-cal-alk. This is more to replace any trace elements I’m not testing for that have been stripped unseen. I do plan to start running a bi-monthly ICP just to keep an eye on things and I like to nerd out. I do plan to add a 30w UV at some point but I’m not rushing.

15 weeks from filling the tank and starting the cycle and we have coralline algae popping up in the DT. So far everything is going to plan and the huge biodiversity I have seeded is paying off with dividends. Birdsnest is seeing about 170-175 par where it’s at so I’ll slowly walk the intensity up over the next 4-6 weeks. Nothing crazy just another 50 par or so and than I’ll start adding a few sticks & caps.

I’ll get pond liner installed, level and sump back in before Sunday. Help will be by Sunday to set the tank

What was this process? Cut to size and then secure it with something? Silicone?
I used waterproof black gorilla tape but yea it was just fold, cut, tape repeat.

Having a heck of a time trying to keep nutrients in the tank. No skimmer running, almost nothing macro in the refugium & intensity 50% 7hrs (actually turned it off today) and I still can’t keep nutrients in the tank. It seems like the more nitrate and phosphate I throw at it the more it consumes. Anyone got any help for me?
