noticed some algae growing in the filtration section so i added two hinges off a glass top i had laying around. cheap fix and it works well. IMG_1824.JPG

Love the tank and your fish/coral selection.I too went through a Paly/zoa phase.Be careful it can make you poor.lol
i think i hit the poor phase already. LOL. i got the utter chaos free the other day and it felt like i won the lottery !

finally saved up enough pennies for a frag rack. now i do not have to worry about my tiger pistol using my frags as building materials. IMG_1831.JPG

I like how it looks like a rock. Looking good!
thanks, i got it from intank aquatics. i get my filter pads from them and they were having a sale so i thought i would give it a try.

picked up a six pack IMG_1840.JPG IMG_1841.JPG today.....of zoas.

update minus the pandoras. IMG_1844.JPG

got a frag of bob marleys from coral reef connection yesterday. first time using them and very happy with them. IMG_1852.JPG

just reserved a frag of red hornets from my lfs. super stoked about these. never had any hornets before. will post pics.

got the hornets today and reserved a single polyp of jf bloodshots. even more stoked to get that one. IMG_1853.JPG

if you dont mind could you tell me if you are running any skimmer?

thank you
no skimmer for me. this is a zoa/paly tank so i want a little nitrate and phosphate.

super bummed today, i bought a bonded pair of bangaii cardinals from liveaquaria 1 year and 8 months ago. everything has been great but today i found one of them dead in the tank. fish showed no signs of disease and has been eating well. the one cardinal has been chasing it and i read that is what they do when mating. now i wonder if they were really a bonded pair when i bought them. they were really small when i got them and maybe as they matured they were not a bonded pair as advertised. i would be thank you for any thoughts.

pic update minus the two pieces of rock i took out. going to be putting the top one in and a new lower one in. ordered a royal gramma to replace the bangaii cardinal i lost. IMG_1857.JPG
