Hi everyone. I'm excited to announce I finally placed an order for my 75gal tank. This is my upgrade from a fluval evo13.5.

A little background:
I started a "reef" tank when I was 19. I say it like that because I had no idea what I was doing. It was a 30gallon tall with all hang on equipment that some how survived for years with a few softies and anemones. I had to give it up when I moved out.
When I turned 30 I thought I'd try again when biota had evo packages with 3 softies and 3 fish. For a about 2 years I just maintained and not much happened. Sadly I ignored it for a year and it did poorly. When I realized what I did I went overdrive on bringing it back to life, testing my skills and knowledge and proving out the systems I wanted to implement on a large tank.
That was almost a year ago. Today I have a thriving little 13.5 gal that includes lps, sps and softies all doing well with moderate automation. I feel I'm ready for the next step.
The 75 gallon is ordered. The basic systems are designed. Now to remodel the room, engineer the entire tank and execute the plans. This will be a slow process to ensure its done right. I will post updates with pictures in steps explaining the what, how and why. Along with maybe the embarrassing lesson I learned as to why.
Thank you all for your help over the year and I hope I can share my experience with you all.

Goodluck sounds like a fun upgrade. I really like the IM aquariums, I have a 30L.

I'm extremely impressed with the tank. The detail work is excellent for the price.

Haven't had much time to post. I'm redoing the whole area of the house this is going into so I'm just playing with it in my spare time. Figure I would just share a couple shots before the new year.

Water yet?
Thanks for checking in. Not even close. We are remodeling this part of the house before the new tank goes in. So I play with it when I have time after remodeling work.

Been a while since I've posted. Finished the first half of the remodeling (bathroom, closets, hallway etc.) And now on to the reef room... I mean living room. Moved the current tank around the corner and started tearing up the room. This is the corner the 75g will be going in.

I owe everyone some step by step build posts. Coming soon! I'll try to release a couple at a time and show the process.
