Im really confused

Its a bout 3 months i want to culture my phyto and rotifers.I have a lot of research and i found that f2 should be added.But the matter is that f2 is not available in my country.Do any one has any exprience that it has any alternative ?
Or any other ideas.
If it is f2 does a f1 exist?

Can i make my own f2 to do this?

Ill be thankful if u guys answer me cause im really interested in this field.

The recipe for Guillard's f2 formula is available on line....just google it.

Now for you to make the stock solutions, it gets pretty expensive because of the minimum amounts of stuff you need to buy. However, there are two possible solutions to minimize costs.

METHOD 1: Use Miracle Grow.....google use for phyto growth. Not sure what country you are from and if Miracle Grow (a plant fertilizer) is available in your country.

METHOD 2: Make up the nitrate / phosphate stock solution and purchase trace nutrients/vitamin solution from your local reef store and use that as the nutrient/vitamin addition.

Yes there are no f2 commercial in access.And i want to buy the materials and do it myself.
I think that i can provide the materials i just have problem in vitamines.And i do not know that the one have the chemical things has the vitamins to or drug stores have...
If u know plz help

If u want to import a product u have to import a large number of them and just one of them i think is not efficient at all.

@twilliard , I have to believe the cost of shipping and any import taxes are very high. Otherwise, the least expensive way to get phyto fertilizer is to order Micro Algae Grow from FloridaAquaFarms.com. That has all the stuff in one product.

What country are you in? Do you know exactly what chemicals are restricted in your country? The recipe reefwiser posted seems to have pretty basic stuff. The vitamins you should be able to get from any pharmacy. They aren't anything special.
