I'm setting up a Waterbox 10G AIO, and was looking into flow options. I'd previously used this tank for a Planted / Betta tank, so I know the flow isn't very strong. I did upgrade to a Sicce nano over the stock pump, but not sure the flow is going to be sufficient. Would the Spin stream generate enough random flow or would I be better off going with a nano wavemaker?

The spin stream is about half the cost and doesn't require a wire / anything additional in the tank, but not sure about the tradeoff if I'm just going to wind up buying a wavemaker anyhow.

Planning on softies / LPS with hopefully a Montie Cap. as my only stony coral (maybe a pink birdsnet).

Any insight / advice would be appreciated.

I've had the SpinStream in the past and I didn't like mine, it was loud (though some say the noise goes away in time) and it's kind of obtrusive in the tank.

Take a look at the Random Flow Generators from @Vivid Creative Aquatics. I have two on my dual return 25 AIO, and I really like them:

We run that exact sam tank tank here at the office. It houses a few clowns and blenny and a couple of super healthy leathers, along with a bunch of other softies.

We run it with a single 1/4in RFG nozzles. Which in my opinion is the best option for this tank

1/4in Random Flow Generator® Flow Kit – 1/4 Flex-Series RFG
https://vividcreativeaquatics.com/shop/1-4in-random-flow-generator-flow-kit-1-4-flex-series-rfg/

Pair the 1/4in RFG with a pump in the 100 to 120 GPH range or more, and you wont even need a power head.

Here the 10-gallon Waterbox cube we have - its been up and running for about 4 years now - maybe longer

Thanks, hadn't run across that option! I'll give it a look! Certainly like the idea of not running another cord.
To be clear, the SpinStream doesn't have a cord, it isn't powered, it just works from the water coming out of the return nozzle. But in my opinion, I think you'll be a lot happier with the RFG's from VCA. They look better, they work great, they're silent and I believe they may be less expansive than a SpinStream. Take a look at what @Vivid Creative Aquatics suggested above, I think you'll be very happy with their product and support.

Sick, ordered! A green Toadstool is at the top of my list, and apparently now orange mushrooms are too, haha. Appreciate the video!

Awesome - depending on what time you ordered, it may have shipped out already, otherwise it will go today.

The Green toadstools are the Tyree Toadstool, and the orange mushrooms are Orange Yuma - both a few of my OG favorites. But one thay are happy, they grow prolifily.

For instance that orange Yuma mushrooms in this tank are descents of the first one i pickup over 10 years ago. and I have them in nearly ever tank i have had, or currently have since then.

the Green toadstool is similar - the big on in this tank was originally from a "baby" that the one in the tank next to it dropped a while back. And this one has two main lobes and the bigger side has began to lacerate, which means it will drop a bunch of babies soon. and then I'll need to figure out where to put them or who to give them too - LOL

That's interesting on the Toadstool. I knew they got big, but didn't realize they split. Is that a function of the tank / coral size or would it do that in a larger display too?
