So i bought rock on a impulse and they where not sure if it was cured. It is a 23Lb rock in my 75 total gallon system. With roughly 100lb more. Is it safe to put in or do you think i should set it up in another tank for a bit.

if its dry i would cure it. otherwise your gonna have a huge ammonia spike and risk killing everything in your tank

It's was in a tank for a few days and they where not sure if it was cured. It does not smell ocionie

I would not take the chance personally, I do not even like purchasing other peoples rock as you do not know if they were even using RO/DI, which if not can leach a bunch of crap back into your tank from the rock since it is like a sponge..

I know this is not like me but i saw this rock and im very unhappy with the right side of my tank and i saw it and it glew from about 1000 pound of rock... it is going to make a sick chalice island. Im thinking water change some on my main tank throw this in a 20g tank i have and throw a modded maxi jet in there and let it do its thing.

What would you guys do?

Perfect!

You could even just use a 5 gal bucket with a PH if the rock will fit in it. Do a WC on the tank/bucket every few days for a week or so (assuming water seems "clean") and you'll be good to go.

So i put in a 20g tank with 5g DT water 15g new batch of water.with alot of flow how long should i do this for?

After a nice inspection i noticed that there was about 10 quarter size deep purple coroline spots. Doesnt that mean is been cures.?

On a diffrent note its in the 20G taking up 3/4 of the tank and the tank is being blasted with flow i read in a book helps with the curing part, and i thought i could atleast do that since there is no skimmer just doing water changes on it. Now for my real question how long do i need to leave it like this, when i origionaly set up the tank i cured the rock for 3 months before i added anything (other then a CUC) please tell me its less then three months. As my first impulse buy this will deffinitly be my last.
