2k for one acantho is just wild to me. There must be a seriously unbalanced supply and demand. We picked up an amazing acantho for 900, but that was hard to fork out for one coral!

Check out this for example from 2015 when prices were normal. Now we are lucky to get a common green for $200. LOL. Bring back the ACANTHOS!

Yup no more! That one has multiple colors also. Oh how I wish those prices would come back.

They will drop for sure...but you wont see rainbow indo acanthophyllia for 250 anywhere!

I think the acantho prices will drop but like you said 260 for that one was a steal back then! And don’t get me wrong, I’m willing/ready to pay for the ultra and full rainbow acanthos but I think it’s only fair for us to receive some realistic prices.

The crazy acantho I picked up for 900 was priced @ 1999. I happened to talk to the store owner & he was willing to make a deal (very cool guy). I think he sold it because he’s bringing more in soon (maybe at better prices?), waiting to find out more.

One things for sure, with some more realistic prices on some of these corals I’d be buying a lot more stuff.

I am hopeful as well!!

But when big boys are charging 5k for this, it's hard for anyone to lower prices too much.

If I can find a true rainbow for around 1500 I'll jump on it.

That one at bsa is overpriced IMHO, it’s a green (common color) with some minor orange blue and yellow. I think that’s a price that’s “worth it” for him to let go from his “collection”. I know BSA collects rainbow acanthos (or used to), maybe they are “worth” more to him.

Prices may already be heading down, its the only reason I can come up with that I got this one for 900 that was priced @ 2k. And this place was super busy so it wasn’t like he’s hurting for business and needed the 900.

Yup 900 seems to be the sweet spot at the moment. I got mine for 700 on the sale from cali kid. They do have some just like yours for 950.

It will come down further and further...hopefully;)
