Guys,
How do you tell if a torch is an indo or just a normal torch? Seems like the indo torches are going for lots of money and my friend wants to sell hers. I don’t know how to identify them or price them. Any help would be appreciated. Pic attached.

Indo torch has long skinny tentacles and aussie have short fat tentacles

She is being told to send the coral to someone out of state for identification. I don’t like that idea and figured you guys could help.

Yeah. That’s why she’s looking to sell. Someone told her not to sell under $200 per head. I thought that was high since it’s not gold but wanted to see what you guys thought.

A lot of it is what someone will pay. I just didn’t think this coloration brought such a high price. But I don’t want to tell her to sell low either.

I’ve been told another way to identify indo is in the base and skeleton. Indos will branch out with skinnier longer bases and Aussie have more stumpy bases. Made sense to me. Lol

Green tip torch like that can be had in Aussie variety for 40 to 80 a head. I’d think this one would go for 70 to 100, maybe 120 per head. No way 200. It’s not a rare color.

Looks like what some call grim reaper torch. Paid 60/head for mine.

+1 indo
I have same color AUSSIE $70 purchased recently at an LFS. Follows the Aussie stout VS Indo thin and long rule.

Definitely an I do torch. Because it isn’t a rare coloration, I would say no more then $60 a head retail or $500 for the piece retail
