I'm not an Nem Expert, but pretty familiar with BTA's.

IMO he's not bleached, definitely not happy and healthy and in full bloom, But he's a light green BTA, I honestly don't think he will gain too much more color, just lose some transparency and maybe a bit "brighter", and more spots or coloration on his tips.

I could be wrong, but I agree with OP. Better photos would help.

------------------

QT's are simple, a power head with Oxygen can be enough if as long as you're not feeding at all. I don't recommend feeding Nems in QT and neither do most others. You should get an easy ammonia detector and just do WC's every 2-3 days. Or if water is every cloudy.

Also I would put the breeder net instead over your power head in the QT somehow, or create a barrier so he doesn't ever get sucked up again.

Or a HOB filter, but Power head is better for more flow.

Here’s some more pics, using flash. If I was able to get it up on the rock so it could secure its foot would that help? It had righted itself but rolled back over

Okay I’ll try and go get some more, if it is slightly bleached do I need to do something differently ?

Well, you just got it so it's probably not your fault man. Buuuut. To help it.. make sure everything is very very stable. Give it VERY gentle flow and low to medium MAYBE light. Don't try to feed it, the mouth is gaping and it's stressed. Don't let the clown get to it, and don't handle it too much. Bta don't like the sand..but you don't wanna move it too much...that's your choice. All you can do now is wait. Once they bleach AND gape, it's hard.

A lot of Nems in the trade in LFS's are going to be stressed and unhealthy IME.

Just getting them into a better environment for 1 helps.

If you really want to nurse this Anemone back to health I'd get it into a QT system and nurse it back on it's own.

It's a long process of months. Not for the light of heart in anyway.

Once your nem is fully healthy it will look similar to this:

Short of setting up a QT and nursing it back to health. Not much else to do but except let it be, but don't let it get sucked back up into any filters.

Do not feed it until it is fully healed. Keep your water super fresh. Either through excellent filtration system, or through WC's. Doing this will help heal it.

Peruse around on some of the Anemone Threads here:

you'll gain a lot of helpful tools https://www.reef2reef.com/forums/anemone-clownfish-discussion.182/

Now there's a gbta that's NOT bleached. That's healthy.

Yeah, I’m super worried about it. That’s a beautiful GBTA! I think I’ll just not mess with it and keep my fingers crossed, got some extra SW on hand if s*** hits the fan. Thank you all for your help and your input, I really appreciate it!

Get it off the sandbed onto a rock.
