Injured LTA

The magnet on my Red Sea wave maker released and the gyre fell right into my anemone. I think I caught it pretty quickly, but there is some damage to the tips and I can see a few tiny pieces in the tank.
She seems to be opening back up, but I’m wondering what now?
I’m running carbon in case of toxins.

Here is the pic. It’s been 15 min since rescue.
She has three peppermint shrimp that live under her, they seem to be guarding her now.

Sorry that happened to you, is the LTA still planted in the substrate?


If so, just leave it be and it should heal on it own.

Tentacles damage to anemone is no problem for healthy ones. They will heal quickly enough.

It is. Her foot is pretty deeply planted. I’ll leave her alone.

Leave it alone and don’t change anything chemistry wise. It will heal its self with time. As long as the stem and foot didn’t get nicked it should stay. I had that issue with the Red Sea pumps and switched to orbit 4’s. So much better especially being able to connect them to the apex system. My Red Sea gyres sit in a box now waiting for a garage sale.
