Inline vs HOB UV sterilizer

I have a IM 25 Lagoon AIO that doesn't have a sump and I'm looking to add a UV to help with Dinos. The ones made by IM don't seem like a good fit for my purposes so I was looking at the Aqua Ultraviolet Advantage options, but can't decide between an inline option run on it's own pump separate from the return pump or the HOB option. Anyone have any input on what works well for your tank or what would make you pick one option over the other?

Although this doesn't answer your question directly, many people use a UV on an as needed basis so even if one option isn't the best look, it may well only be temporary or occasional. Additionally, dwell time is an important concept to consider when selection UV options. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Thank you! The dwell time was the main reason I ruled out the IM models since they dont have a great way of controlling the flow.
