Hi All,

I've searched a few threads and there wasn't much info. For those of you who own a Nuvo 40 aquarium, what is your MP10 schedules? I got a deal on some MP10's and one MP40. Trying to figure out what schedule to put them on and what to use.

Also, for those of you who may have purchased your MP10's used, is there any additional equipment I need to reattach it to my tank? Sorry, stupid question lol. I am just unsure how the MP10 dry side attaches to the outside of the tank.

If you guys have this tank, please share your thoughts / concerns with these powerheads. Thanks a lot !

The dryside attaches via magnet to the wetside, they hold each other on.

I'd recommend getting the ecotech ziptie mounts

To secure the cord above the dryside incase it gets knocked or something causing the magnet to dislodge.

The schedule and flow intensity will depend a lot on coral types in the tank and preference. I'd throw it on 50% reefcrest myself and adjust it from there.

Thank you, that's very helpful. For some reason I thought there was an adhesive or some kind of suction on the dry side.

I plan to have softies and LPS. Mostly zoas gsp hammers and frogspawn maybe some mushrooms. My idea was to just leave on reefcrest for 24/7, but wasn't sure on intensity and MP10 placement.

Depending on the aquascape a lot of poeple place there MP's in the centerish of the tank and move it around from there.

I run 3 MP10's on my SPS nuvo 40. 2 Face each other running reef crest mode at 100% and a 3rd is also reef crest 100% at the bottom corner of the tank blowing behind the rock structure. My tank is currently bare bottom. Check out my build thread for more info!

Edit: Im able to run at 100% because of the bare bottom and SPS. In an LPS system you wouldn't want them at that intensity. Id start around 50% and see how the LPS react to it.
