No the build has not died, I went over and helped Matt, Jimmy and Sonny put the stand and tank in the house. It is gigantic in a house. When we put it in Blue Reef Aquatics it just looked like a good size tank. In a house it looks like a MONSTER, heavy as hell too.

Well after stock piling parts for the past few weeks, it was time to move the tank into the house. This was chore as we expected. A few friends, Jimmy & I were the cheap labor. It took us an hour and a trip to Lowes to pick up a fridge dolly. We managed to get it done tho

Now that the beast is inside, we started by sanding down the back a little so we could paint the back. The tank is going to a three sided walk around, so the black back ground will hide some of the wires that will run up to the light rack/power heads. We also decided to cover up the blue over flo with some fresh back acrylic. We want thecoral an fish to be thecenter of attention and not a bright blue over flow. We threw a little black plastic spray paint on the overflows teeth just ensure a nice clean install.

Sorry for all the crappy pics, but I just didn't see the need to bust out the nice camera yet. Here's Jimmy washing out the huge sump & what $250 of PVC looks like. Better to have too much then not enough. Just make sure to save the reciept. The tank is in great shape, It just looks nasty from me crawling in and out and leaving greasy finger prints every where.

Its going to be a reef, With a ton of corals, with mainly small fish and 6-7 tangs.

That is nuts! Do you think the weight of the tank full will crack the flooring?

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
