I haven't had any issues with it when I've fed it to my tank. But you should take care to feed a little at a time so the fish are able to eat it before it settles on the corals or sand. Better safe than sorry
Thanks,
Also should I use a little tank water to mix the food an medications?
Sorry for all the questions. I just don't want to mess this up :)

Yes, you'll need a few drops of tank water to make a paste you can feed to your fish.

Thanks, I just fed them :)
They directions were so confusing on the packaging. There were so many different ratios. It said use one measure for every table spoon of food but I only feed about a teaspoon of food cause I only has 3 fish. It also said use one measure for every 10 gallons
Do they mean use 1 measure for every 10 gallons if you have the fish in a QT and aren't using focus to bind it to your food?

This is what I do to keep it simple:
  1. Take 1 tablespoon of "thawed" frozen or pellets and put it in a shot glass.
  2. To this, add 1 scoop of Metroplex & 1 scoop of Focus (they each have their own measuring scoops.)
  3. Mix this all together, adding drops of SW until a paste-like consistency is achieved. Adding FW doesn't work as well because it causes the "medicated food" to float.
  4. Let the paste "sit" for 30 mins before feeding. Refrigerate the leftovers if you can use it all up within 24 hrs; freeze if it's going to be longer than that.
Previously, I thought more of the Focus was needed to bind the medication to the food, but after Seachem & I discussed this at great lengths it was decided just 1 scoop per 1 tablespoon of food was required. However, I'm not one to leave anything to chance so I also run carbon whilst feeding if done in a reef environment. ;)

I am using chemipure blue right now just to make sure any left over medication will be taken out of the water.
Don't you use 5 measure of focus for every 1 measure of metroplex?
That is what it says on the packaging.
