I finally threw in the towel and went a different direction. I'm betting the issue is with the light guy and the folks at coralvue don't want to say negative things.

Last Friday Coralvue announced the upcoming LED light for Hydros, and showed it off at RAP NY this past weekend. Designed in collaboration with ReefBrite.

Details:
- 100% Hydros device, with a full Hydros wifi chip inside. Can be used stand alone or added to your existing collective via wifi (no command bus needed) using the Hydros App.
- Multiple sizes available, 12", 23", 35", 47", 59", 71"
- Approx power: 30W per 12" section
- 24VDC powered (Kraken compatible)
- 7 controllable channels (4 physical channels - white, blue, violet, and moon simulation)
- Passive cooling
- Powered by Reefbrite diodes
- Integrated T slot for mounting with a variety of solutions

I'm still holding out for these, mostly. I have picked up a couple of nicrew hyperreef gen 2s to hold me over. I get that their maven is more complex and needs testing but this is a light being built with the help of a company that does lights. Are these fusion powered and will require years of government certifications and red tape cutting to get them on store shelves? I suppose tariffs and supply chains will be blamed.

Luca will release his panel light in March, so you might have better luck going with Quanta than this fixture which has no official release date. You can watch the latest episode of Reefbum on YT and Luca talks about the light and shows it around the 58-59 minute mark.
In that same podcast, Tullio was saying the Hydros XHO was coming "very soon". He said it a couple times.
I guess we'll see. I'm kind of over it at this point. I'm just waiting for a Quanta Helix restock so I can get some bars.

Just here to see if anyone wants to speculate on the incentives that drive CoralVue to announce this, let it languish as vaporware for nearly two years, and refuse to comment at all on it's progress. How is that a viable customer facing strategy for literally any product? Genuinely curious if anyone has an opinion on their truly bizarre communication strategy.
