Hmm label changes worries me. Do we know there was no ingredient change. “Kills mosquitoes”. Was that always written on it?

Label changed because Bayer bought Monsanto, therefore, Bayer had to divest some of their assets in order to get government approval of the two large companies now merging. Which often happens when 2 large companies are merged or bought out.( Our government won't allow one company to monopolize the market and become too big so they have to sell off some of there product to get approval of the new merger.) Bayer sold off (divested) this particular product. So now a different company owns this product, therefore changing the label. I have not looked at the ingredients to know if they changed any of them. But I believe it always killed mosquitos, but just did not advertise it on the bottle when Bayer owned it. Same thing happened or is happening now with Dow and Dupont merging. Each had to sell off or divest some of there products before the government would approve their merger. I know this because my husband was in this business and worked at Dow for 20 years, until a year ago when he changed jobs.

There was a slight ingredient change. It was noted above. I’m still curious about the continued use of this myself.

Only the one marked as able to kill mosquitoes has an ingredient change. I posted above two bottles one with each brand and the exact same ingredients

It is still available at my local lowe's here in Port charlotte FL. I saw two kinds. You want to get the one with imidacloprid active ingredient. The label has grub in the picture in it, the other one doesn't.

I just bought some of the original Bayer at my local Lowes the other day. I've yet to dip with it, but will be getting another bottle or two to be safe. Got my eyes on some high end SPS.

If imidacloprid the main active ingredient needed for the dip why not find an alternative product that does not include the other active ingredients. A good example merit 2F

There should be a generic product with the same active ingredient at pretty much any landscape supply. The potency on the other hand would vary brand to brand

Bump back up..

I was just at a local fish shop.. was told of reports of guys losing corals and fish after dipping and putting in tanks when using the new product. Searching on reef2reef and cant find any reports of such.. so just bringing this back up... any issues with the new product?

Same here. I’ve been using the newly labeled product a bunch lately. No issues. Works as old bottles did.

Of course if you have any product left on the dipped frags you’re gonna have an issue as it can’t get in the tank.

I just got the new bio advanced, but it doesn't say two way formula.

Active ingredients are sodium O-phenylphenate and B-cyfluthrin. Not using. Any updates on this... Seems they're changing brands, labels, formulas rapid fire.
