Is Copper okay for corals ?? New Build

Hello Guys!

This person on FB marketplace is selling his aquarium he used for QT. He said he used copper but the tank has been sitting dry for a month now. He said he did copper for 2.5 months. Would the copper still be in the silicone seals? Or maybe leached onto the power head or heater?

You can always test for copper, but personally I wouldn't worry to much,
I was told copper is absolutely NOT safe for corals

No. It kills invertebrates in significant enough concentrations, corals included. You could fill it up and ICP test it to check, but it's probably better just not to bother.

Yeah it may save more money to just not mess with it at all lol

It’s on organics, calcium carbonate deposits, and the glass. It can be cleaned, but it’s not clean now. Silicone is not the primary concern.
