I’m running 15 hrs of lighting which is probably dumb. I just wanted to keep them on later to enjoy when I have visitors over but realizing it’s not a good idea. Could 15hr schedule actually reduce coral growth and stress them out? If I reduce to 12 hrs is that ok? I see BRS recommended 10 hrs.

I run peak intensity full spectrum for 4 hrs and then 4 hrs of blues at night.

I like a total 12 hour photoperiod with about 6-8 hours of full intensity.

Yeah I think I’m going to do the same
If I have guests, they usually come late morning or evenings. I have my lights from 11am to 11pm.

You can also manually turn them on at any time if you have someone over. I also like to have my lights on for guests. :)

If its typical to have people over later just have the lights come on later. I have mine on 12pm-10pm and from 10pm to 12am moon lights. Peak is 2-8pm.
