It is a new acan I got so I understand it will be stressed. I am just trying to take caution. This is my first acan so I'm wondering if it should look like this.

It is hard to really tell the condition from the pictures, but the flesh does look a bit sucked in. They definitely prefer higher nutrients and not very high light. Your sand bed looks very clean, you may want to check your nitrates and phosphates to see where you are at.

Nitrates around 20 and phosphates where 6 last night.

Sorry on my Hanna it says .6 but it's actually .06 sorry for the false alarm
Are you sure it’s 0.06ppm, and not 6ppb, which is a tad low.
Not sure if your hanna is the UL Phosphorus or not.
0.06 is great for ppm level
Just checking…..low/no phosphate will starve corals.
