I purchased this BTA about 2 weeks ago, it was looking nice and "bubbly" until 3 days ago, when it decided not to come out of its cave. It looks very deflated and appears to just be hanging upside-down by its foot from the cave. It does look to me like there is a second section attaching to another piece of rock. Is it possible that it's splitting, or should I be worried that it's dead/dying? No parameter swings or other changes since I introduced it, other corals/clownfish seem happy. Tank is about 7 months old, Reefer 170 w/Radion XR15.

It could be lighting or the BTA is just exploring.I have a half dozen bubbletips and they’ve all carved out their “niche” in terms of finding a suitable cave that they can retreat into whenever it suits them. Most of the time they’re out, but my green bubbletip spent the past few days in a cave “just because”.
