Hey guys I just bought a blood shrimp from my lfs and so far he has been doing great and readily accepts food but I noticed on his body there are these little white spots other than that of normal coloration and was wondering if it’s normal, this is my first time owning a blood shrimp and I’m relatively new to saltwater in general
Is he just getting ready to shed?

As long as he’s eating, he should be fine. I’ve had a blood shrimp for a couple months now but rarely see him cause he’s so shy and tiny. He eats out of my hand if I’m patient though so that’s pretty cool. Anything on him should come off when he sheds so make sure there’s iodine in the water for that.

Thanks for the reply’s :) it doesn’t look like it’s bothering him so I will just keep an eye on it and QT if necessary,

I got this guy on Thursday and yesterday was the first time he was at the front of the tank
