lol dang south shore and suffolk county so i havent been to them to know how good the staff or stores are.
so you thinnk this nem is savable?
yes definitely savable but in rough shape right now. slowly get those paramters in check and then make sure to keep them stable. stability is key in this hobby

saw how deep your tank is now so running all 4 bulbs should be fine esp if it is near the sandbed. i will pop over to the other thread for light suggestions

Yeah, and this nem moved into a dark corner

disregard lowering the light then, my b

The nem is looking more green, yet still hiding away in that corner

Oh no

I'm going to tag @OrionN in this one and get his opinion

I am surprised people haven't needled more at your tank parameters. As others have mentioned, that nem was sold to you in bad condition. Is it recoverable? Maybe. In a good stable tank with healthy water conditions.

I am torn from your photos, how long has your tank been up? On one hand I see what looks like healthy coralline algae growth (good sign). On the other, I see no other corals. Is this the first thing you have tried to add to your tank?

What is your testing schedule like? Other parameters?

I guess all that to say...is your tank ready to support a nem in the first place? If not, all this is advice is probably moot.

It is weak and has low energy due to very little photosynthesis that can occur due to bleaching , anemones can use nitrate in the water so be sure you have a good amount of nitrate / phosphate in the water like 10ppm N .1ppm P

My phosphate test expired 12/24 is it still good to use?

No offense but a zoa isn't a good bench mark for how ready your tank is to support more sensitive marine life.

All of the advice here on how to handle the struggling nem is good. Whether this nem makes it or not, I would strongly advise you up your testing game and really get a handle on your tanks parameters before getting too far into investing more into livestock for your tank. Good luck!

Nems are very hardy and will find a happy spot. Don’t change the tank lights to suit one inhabitant, it will just get unhappy when you turn them back on.

Let it wander, treat the tank as you did before and don’t worry about it unless it’s a tiny shrivelled ball.
