I would assume it came in bleached. They can expell zooxanthelle (spelling) when they are stressed. I dont think its anything you did

I would use any of the avaliable coral pellets. Maybe benipellets
I have some of this, could it work?

Im rather nervous; i dont want it to die

your lfs sold you a bleach nem which is uncool of them
How do i feed?
DO NOT FEED YET. Wait until the anemone has time to settle into a good location first. If using t5 just turn off some bulbs. How many are you running (2,4,6,8?)

4 bulbs, two purple two white

just use 2 for right now to let it acclimate, i would do one white and one purple. Which specific bulbs are you using? I really only ran giesseman and ati bulbs ever

Thats a good point definitely dont feed until it settles down

ATI

so is the "purple" actually blue plus? havent ran em in a while not sure of all the bulbs

blue plus was always the gold standard for t5s

shud add, once the anemone finds a spot and isnt moving for a couple of days then you are good to feed. they arent picky but i mostly use lrs reef frenzy, frozen mysis and any good brand of pellet food

curious what are the 2 lfs you went to. im originally from LI and my rents still live there so I have been to a ton. Mostly the nassau county and queens ones

definitely low salinity and im pretty sure that would come with lower alk levels. When you top off the tank use 1.026-1.025 water instead of just freshwater rodi. It will cause the levels to slowly rise at a pace that shouldnt hurt the tank until the correct levels are reached.

the one that sold me was in Lindehurst, and the one i went to today was Country Criters in Pat Med
