So I’d really love to have a Derasa, Squamosa, and Hippopus in my 100 gallon display. My concern is those three at their adult sizes… about 16”, 16”, and 20”-23” inches respectively.

The tank is 2’ ft x 4’ ft, waterbox peninsula.

My plan is to remove the front rock structure when the time for more space is needed.
I could also remove the rocks/coral in the back, but there’s very little flow at the very back near the overflow.

Here’s a recent video of my tank. Currently only a Derasa is in there.

I think it would take many years for them to reach max size, you'll have plenty of time to upgrade if and when it is necessary
Oh definitely. My Derasa is only about 5” right now. Any Squamosa I get will be at or under 5”.

I’ve got an ORA Hippopus in the mail, arriving tomorrow, that’s 2”.

I know it takes many years for clams to approach their adult size.
I’m just trying to think long term.

Space might start getting tight after another 5-7 years from now.
I’ll likely have my upgrade planning started then anyways.

Congrats on the Hippopus! One of my favorites.

Thanks! I just got it acclimated.

Once it gets settled in I’ll post some pictures.
