Dark clownfish show every little bit of mucus very clearly because of the contrast. Is the fish showing any other symptoms, like rapid breathing, not eating, swimming oddly? If not, I would attribute this to a bite from another fish and just watch it closely for now.

Could either be a bite from another fish or brooklynella, watch it closely for heavy breathing or if it starts to hide more.

I only have 1 fish and a fire shrimp + pompom crab and emerald crab, ill check on her when i get back home soon, it did eat flakes i gave in the morning and no heavy breathing as far as i saw. But ill see when i get home if its feeling better or not

Any changes to the tank? Sometimes mine get transparent patches in the fins when they’re really stressed out, it goes away as they start to feel better.

No changes other than i was scraping algae yesterday maybe she got stressed from that? Im on my way home to see if the tail is better. Also the clown is like 2 years old or something inbetween 1-2 cause ive had her since 2022 december

Im home and it looks the same on the tail and im pretty sure i saw a tiny hole between the tail so im hoping it just got damaged and it will heal, shes eating pellets i just gave her and seem to be acting as she usually does.
