Is there any salt that doesn’t leave your mixing bin brown?

Iv used HW salt for a long time and I have to clean my mixing bin out at least once a month or it gets to stinking and everything has brown residue all over it
Iv dealt with this since I got into the hobby in 2010 and never really asked if there’s any salts out there that don’t cause this..
I’m assuming they all do but figured I’d ask
Thanks

That dark green almost black is thought to be an iron/manganese precipitate. Lots of salts will leave that.

Cleanest I’ve used is ESV, TM Pro, NYOS….all are great salts

Started with RS blue bucket. Mixed clean but could get brown if the temp went up at all. Cleaned a brown mixing tank every three months. Switched to RPM and mixing tank is perfectly clean. Disclaimer, only 2/3 through my first box, but looks promising.

I use IORC and while it does sometimes leave a brown residue (from harmless binders), it never "stinks"...

What do you mean by you added the filter to yours?
Like you just placed a sediment filter inside the mixing bin?
No, not inside. A small sicce pump in the bin and a brs reactor with a sediment filter with the output back into the bin. Also works for some mixing flow.
