Is there hope for this Favia?

Hello all,

One of my torches fell on this Favia and melted it pretty bad. This was about 5 months ago and we are at this point now, the blow center is not there, but it still inflates every day.

Thoughts?

It still has color 5 months after being stun, thats a good sign IMO. It can take months for corals to recover from a stress event, before they start rebounding.

Personally, just me, I would move it into more light. My favia gets about 'medium' light and grows very well. But again thats just me, good luck.

I never give up on a coral that is still showing it has the will and the flesh to regenerate and live.

These things can survive in the ocean and once it pulls through and heals it’s going to be tank hardened and pretty much bulletproof. Stay the course!
