It’ tough to positively identify with your current lighting. Black widows are know for their deep red tentacles and dark (if not black) . Not that I am the definitive authority on BWs, but I agree with you that the color patterns look slightly off to what I would expect. ..but it could just be the angle, lighting or something else.

Thank you for the response! Yes I'm a bit worried just because the colors aren't what I've seen from other BWs. Is there something I should ask him maybe ask for a different Pic or another Pic in different lighting?

Unless he is asking An exorbitant amount, I would be asking if you like what you see. I like my black widow because of the deep red tips. Do you like that way that beauty looks. If so, does it justify the cost. Outside of that, it’s just a name

The foot should be a shade of purple. The tentacles should be a deep red but can be lighter depending on lights. The face of the anemone should have a white webbing around the mouth and extending out. The larger the anemone gets the webbing stretches out.

Maybe these pics will help.

Light= $250ish new
The RF’ lets $40 each = $120
7g tank= ? Let’s say $30 for s&g.
The clown = about $130
ATO= about 100

my novice conclusion is that this sounds like a fair price for both seller and buyer. I think I’d take the deal if it presented itself and my situation allowed for it.

I've had a lot of black widows and sold a lot and the key think to look for when they get big like this is if the foot is a purplish color. The bigger ones can definitely loose their striping. The color of the tentacles will change with lighting and nutrition. A large widow like that can easily go for 350 so 500 for everything seems like a good deal.

Absolutely! I love seeing good offers where both seller and buyer don’t get a sour deal.
The guy was super knowledgeable and a super cool dude was glad I was able to buy them off of him! Thanks again for your help!
