40 gallon tank. I added two small clownfish a little over a month ago, they were about the same size. They always hang out together, and I do see them trying to nip at each other sometimes. Today I saw the Darwin has what I think is a bite taken out of him. The percula seems to be getting a bit bigger than the Darwin. Is this just something that happens as they grow up together? Any actions I should take? I also have a purple firefish and a royal gramma in the tank, both are very shy and I rarely see them near the clownfish other than feeding time.

Keep a close watch and be prepared to rescue the weak one if the other rejects it. It looks really weak and they might not be able to live together.

It’s not possible to predict how the fight will end

You have to be prepared to stop the fight.
