Just mounted my Dosing pump inside a cabinet next to my tank. Is this correct or does pump have to be mounted flat. Also is this too far from my sump? TYIA

I've never seen it done that way. I can't say for sure if it would affect performance but it is made to sit flat on a shelf with the LCD screen and buttons facing up.

You can pull the thing apart and flip the dosing heads so they’re facing the other way. There are four tabs holding it it together.

Just out of curiosity what is the reason for the heads having to be situated the “right” way.

I would put it horizontal. The weight of the tubes with liquid in it will slowly stretch the small, thinner tubing that runs through the dosing heads. This will cause consistency problems.

Ask me how I know....

The one thing I did make sure of was when I mounted I mounted it off of back wall so the hoses would not pinch. I may just put it horizontal to alleviate any problems I just like the way that I could see the display oh well it’s in the cCabinet anyway

You can mount them this way they just become hard to work with when you have an issue. Everyone’s space under a tank is tight. I have mine out in the garage. An then they pump into the aquarium about 3 feet away. I like them up high so I can work on them easy. Peristaltic pumps push water so they can be mounted a distance from where the tank is.
