I found a local guy selling corals and I wanted to know if he’s giving me a good deal since I haven’t really bought many corals before. I told him 150 and this is what he said he’ll give me

Zoas ~$20
green hairy mushrooms ~$20
2 head purple torch - $40-60?
forest fire shroom - ~$25
zoa palys - $5-10
gsp - probably should be a free throw in
purple xenia - people pay like $15 a frag, but also can find free locally usually

I'd probably pass on that pack and only pay like $100 for it.

If you want an honest opinion, I'd pass on this good deal for a handfull of reasons. #1 tank is very small & corals need stability. #2 from your previous posts I suspect you are fairly new at reef keeping. What kind of lighting do you have to support corals? What are your tanks parameters? (SG, Ph, Alk, Cal, Mag)
We all like "insta-tanks' but rushing into it is only going to cause heart-ache & pain to your wallet. Best advice - take your time, research more & save money for your dream set up.
I'm just trying to save you money and your sanity...

I would pass on this particular pack . Mainly because I don’t need anymore Xenia or gsp

Nobody with xenia or gsp ever needs any more xenia or gsp lol

Such is the nature of "invasive" corals.

You couldn't pay me to take the palythoas, xenia, or gsp. All are very invasive, the palys have the additional benefit of potentially being very toxic (google palytoxin, and fwiw - those particular ones are often high in PT.)

Also - I tried to charge $5/frag to a local reefer for fresh cuts from my SPS DT but he insisted on paying more. Where are you located?

Depends on where you are. Xenia are 50$/stalk here in KY so you’re getting a good deal if you were here. Your tank is really tiny for all that though. Honestly I’d just get some zoa and gsp. They’re basically bulletproof and good beginner stuff.

First I would not take fresh cuts. That is just the seller passing on the risks of survival even moreso to you. I'd rather healed frags for just about any type of coral, invasive or otherwise. It is your money, corals can die often enough after transfer to your tank from the sellers, no need to add them being highly stressed from recently being cut.
Second, yea that's too much. I wouldn't go over $100, and even that is pushing it. Only thing of decent value is the torch.
