I got some live rock yesterday and it looks like it came with a some sort of sea urchin. Does anybody know what kind it is and what the chances of survival through the cycling process are?

That’s a urchin but don’t know which kind.
I would sell it locally or to the lfs, It has a low possibility of surviving a cycle

Pencil urchin. Very good algae grazers especially when that small. They become bulldozers when bigger, knocking over everything. If you do sell it, it’s only worth a buck or two.

Since you are cycling with live rock it might survive...that might become your first member of cuc....
