Is this aiptasia, a hydroid, or something else?

Hi everyone,

I noticed this growth just a few days ago, but it's in a hard-to-see-and-photograph area of my rock, so I don't know how long I've had it. It looks a semi-transparent white tuft of poly-fil. Because it was so hard to really get a good pic, I took the first four pics from the side under different lighting, and also took a picture from the front this morning under normal sunlight. I'm wondering if this is aiptasia, a hydroid, or perhaps (hopefully) a benign hitchhiker? I can't really tell looking at other pictures of aiptasia or hydroids whether this is either one.

I circled the growth in the first picture. Please note that the patch of white to the right of the red oval is either the underside of chipped off rock, or a smear of super-glue (I suspect the latter, since it looks like fresh rock right next to dirty rock).

(On a semi-related note, I'm hoping that the bright green algae in the daylight picture, which is most prominent under daylight and not my reef light, is the precursor to coralline)

TIA!
