Can I use this bleach in the washing machine for filter socks, and general disenfecting of qt tank and supplies.

it’s called pure bright, germicidal ultra bleach. Ingredients show sodium hypochlorite 6%, other ingredients 94%.

only thing I can find that isn’t scented .

That should be fine to use. I’ve actually used the scented bleach on accident and I just rinsed them well in the sink after the wash. No ill effects and I let them air dryer and put them back in the tank.

Yup- no issues using it at all! Just give it an extra rinse when you're done or let it air dry until you can't smell bleach :)

So you’ve used this particular type?

when it says other ingredients, how would one know the other ingredients don’t include soaps, wide pouring polymers, scents etc

I've used that brand before with no issues.

Yes, I've used that specific type of bleach.

More to your point, it's the same ingredient list as plain old clorox bleach (94% likely made up of water, sodium chloride, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide etc. If you're ever curious in the future, you can always check the MSDS, which is sometimes helpful, sometimes not.

Also, I'm not familiar with wide pouring polymers- what are they?

I have used a variety of unscented bleaches and "free and clear detergents" but for a number of years I just presoak the socks in pool chlorine (mixed jugs from pool store) since I always have a lot around for my pool. I believe its sodium hypochlorite and I get really clean socks. Then they get washed with xtra hot water and an xtra rinse.

it’s the types of bleach that supposed last one surfaces longer, or when you pour them it’s more of a gel consistently , rather than fast moving water, and does spill or drip supposedly.

The other ingredients are the water.

ok thank you. Was concerned for reading past threads on bleach, there were a few of unknown, not transparent ingredients that people feared would crash the tank . Chromax I believe one was called , but sounds like this stuff is safe.

hey randy, if you get a chance , please revisit the thread I started on the carbocalcium dosing thread I started 2 days ago, I know you commented , I followed up and want to see if that’s a realistic plan. Thanks
