So for the past week or so my Gonipora isn’t fully opening and looks strange while closed up almost like it has brown jelly
If opens but less than half the extension it had before I feed it once or twice a week with reef roids

My questions
Is it actually brown jelly?
Will an iodine dip cure it like seachem reef dip?
if it isn’t brown jelly what is it and how do I cure it?

White light so it’s easier to show

I turned the light on when the lights where off at night that’s why it’s almost fully closed in the pic

Brown jelly is similar looking to dinos, it has a snotty/gel appearance. Your goni looks like it has a sponge. Can you try to pluck it off with tweezers?

Agree, doesn’t look like bjd, but sponges. If it was bjd, it wouldn’t be so localized and you would have snot-like plumes coming off of those area.
