My frogspawn has had this bubble on its main head for a few weeks now. The coral as a whole seems to be doing ok... But i just wanted to make sure this isnt something bad that I need to attend to. Any information you guys could give me would be awesome.

I'm going to say it's probably bad but have no clue. I'm a huge euphyllia nut and have never seen it.

I did a little reading on it in other discussions and some people say this is what happens when the head splits... So I will keep an eye on it and see what happens.

I talked to my buddy at my LFS, he is saying its euphyllia reproduction, says the head will prolly split and not to be surprised if I find scattered babies in the tank within a few months. Which would be awesome.

Same I have two separate euphyllia and they have both had the same thing occur one right after the other and I haven't noticed anything off either

How Often are the Bubbles typically around? (How long does it take for an average head to split)?

I know mine they don't stay around to o long I'd imagine a couple of days to a week but I haven't really kept track the picture is of the one that had the bubble last you can see where it's starting to divide I took it with my iPhone so it's not the best quality

That's a tiny bubble in comparison. But it is right on one side of the mouth just like mine. Making me think it will split... I have 2 heads with this bubble. My buddy at the LFS says it's how they reproduce. I'm interested to see what happens

Reproduction makes since though after the bubble on the in the picture it looks like its splitting in the center and on the other frag I got after the bubble it started sprouting new heads on the sides

Splitting heads. My hammer does it often, but it's only been that large once, but is a good sign.
