Is this favia dead

My goby throws piles of sand on my favia everyday and I feel like it doesn’t glow or look the same as once could it being covered in sand effect I just need to know if it’s hurt at all

It's definitely on its way out. Unfortunately.

How old is your tank? Water parameters?

Using RO/DI water?

What's your lighting intensity and schedule? Could have been over lit. Pale colors could be a indication of too much light or the lack of nutrients. Low to no Nitrate and Phosphate can kill corals very quickly.

I will admit as much I learned being able to afford the stuff for new lighting and rodi is out of my hands but I am trying to get those thing to improve the overall life for fish and corals in my tank

Having sand piled on it won’t help. Parts of it are dead, but other parts are not. I’d suggest moving it.
