Or a small piece of a branch? If you look closely at the first picture as well it looks like it is "halfway" on a rock. Maybe it is some kind of toadstool or anemone? Or maybe its an alien and he is messing with us! Hah!On top of this the second picture he posted looks to have some flexibility to the disc. Very interesting. Maybe a toadstool of a kind?
Google green tentacle anemone and scroll through images. I still think thats it
With no other options that I could even consider, I'd say Heliofungia actiniformis. LTPC... I've never seen the bottom of one, but I can say with conviction that's not a torch base. And like no anemone I've ever seen. So, process of elimination.... I may have learned something in this thread. Thank you!
For sure not an anemone unless it has attavhed to a dead euphyllia base id say. Im going to go torch. At first i was thinking long plate but the tentacles are usually the same thickness from base to tip seems like and the center of the base looks like it was cut off of a branching coral where both my plates dont have the circle in the center. With a center mouth and from the skeleton im guessing torch. They can send aggresive tentacles to neighbors but wont move or anything
It's a LT plate already. It's the link I posted from Reefwise!
Well now does anyone know how big it will get? Back to the question I posted.
Then just check the website to see how big it will get? Or liveaquaria, ir blue zoo aquatics or Google.....It's a LT plate already. It's the link I posted from Reefwise!
If its a LTP i doubt it will make 9" in captivity. If torch you will be fine. From the bottom of the skeleton i still think branching torch cut smooth at the base because of the center cut section
Plates have the same center point but not that big because they dont branch as they spawn. Im not sure im 100% but doesnt look like a LTP to me from the skeleton
