I got 2 of these lights with a used waterbox tank I just bought on Facebook market place, I plan on growing some simple soft corals and some lps and wondering if any one has any experience with this light or if it’s any good, I’m pretty sure it’s 160w and 16000k

I used to hear a lot of recommendations for these several years back. I haven't heard much about them recently but I know they used to be good.

Looks like you have something like this:

To my knowledge, these were indeed good lights. Looking at the link and the “420” in its name, and I’m wondering if this is more like a full spectrum grow light (the website mentions both freshwater plants and corals). It should grow your corals just fine, it’s just not going to have that high blue that a lot of reefers here seem to prefer these days (that’s not necessarily me).

Good luck!

Depending on the lenses used on the LEDs 160 watts might not quite be enough for light hungry corals like Acros but it should be good for "simple" corals. It should grow some easier SPS if kept higher in the tank and softies and most LPS should be fine under it.

Depending on the lenses though, it could be perfect for Acros.
