Just got my new Nicrew Full Spectrum Light in the mail for my refugium/sump. I have a small question if this light is powerful enough to grow chaeto/macro algae. It says its made to grow plants in aquariums but not sure about chaeto. It has whites, blues, reds, and a green leds. Any thoughts?

Most lighting can grow cheato. Depends on how close it is to the cheato. How many watts does it put out?

Like above stated pretty much all lights can grow it just some do it alot better than others, specifically those in the 660-460nm range. Your white leds contain those ranges just far less than dedicated lights with those specific diodes. Hence why most people's sumps look violet, lots of reds and blues.
