Noticed this today while cleaning the glass. I think it's part of the foot, this isn't normal is it?

It looks like the byssal cords to me, they use this to attach themselves to the rock. It looks like it expelled the cords in an attempt to move. Has something changed in the tank recently? Is it wiggling around? I notice it is not totally open

I've added a bunch of snails and they were crawling around on it. Other than that nothing else has changed

Are those tiny snails on it’s Shell? Looks like it and if those are sundal snails that Clam is in Big trouble

Those are byssal threads. Tridacna can sometimes release them it they dont like the spot they're in. If the clam has released and you don't notice any new growth on the shell under the mantle then it very well could be wanting a different spot. Hard to tell from the picture but it looks similar to pyramid snails on the bottom of the clam around the threads.
