I recently got a 75 gallon external overflow.
I noticed under the tank, on the roof of the stand there is a part thats cut out leaving the foam part exposed. I'm concerned that the weight may not be distributed evenly... I emailed Innovative Marine and copied and pasted their response -
QUOTE :
"That is a cut out for the INT model plumbing.
If you use the EXT or INT, the aps stand is able to work with either.
The board does not come precut, as in the images.
There is a scored section for the area in case you have an INT system and wish to cut it.
This will not affect the structural integrity of the system if cut out or left alone.
The pvc foam board is designed to assist any minor leveling needs between the aquarium and stand.
The scored area you provided in your image is no precut.
Your image shows someone cut out the area after it left our facility.
As the pvc foam board supports both EXT and INT systems, cutting out the area does not affect the structural integrity of the system.
From the images you provided, the pvc foam board shows the INT plumbing area was cut out.
The pvc foam board will support the aquarium without issue if the cut out is done."
END QUOTE.
I included pics and pointed to the board that was cut out.
Is this ok or should I be concerned? Over time will all this be ok? I had the tank and stand installed by WWC
