Is this normal?

So I've never seen anything like this before. My parameters are all intend norm. Sorry too lazy to type them all out. This is the most skeleton I've seen in a while the polyps just cover the whole thing. Growth wise it's encrusting well not much verticals growth.
 
I have quite a few sps that will encrust a large area and then start shooting up pieces, but each is different and depends on flow, lighting & parameters! I have some also that barely encrust at all and are large colonies and I think each has a mind of its own. I would just keep an eye on it sometime's corals will have more polyp's out then other times and it looks like nothing is really wrong with it from the picture!
