Is this normal

purple sebae anemone. I've had it for three weeks. There are clowns in the tank but they don't go near it which is fine by me. It was doing fine with no apparent issues. It roamed for about 3 days and settled. It is about the size of the inner palm of my hand.

It started bubbling out/pushing out its mouth yesterday. I thought it was weird. I'm concerned.

So, this is why the term sebae is kinda vague and not really best ID, usually it means H.crispa, but in your case that is H.malu, very different, much smaller, sand dwellar, will remain bright purple and maybe more so.
It takes a bit for them to acclimate, looks like it's trying to expel old water or maybe even pooping.
I'd leave it alone, don't even try to spot feed or anything for a week or two.
Malu also require much less light than a crispa, mediumish, medium flow
They seem a little more sensitive than crispa, but once they set foot they don't wander much.
It's a nice score.

Malu are one of my favorites, great for mixed reef as they stay smallish, and stay at sand bed, less harm should they wander, which they usually don't after setting.
I'm surprised I don't see more of them, they retain very bright colors where many other nems become more beige w/ just hint of color.

Yes, lots of times.
Even though they are not really natural to many clowns like occs or percs, they seem to be recognized and accepted much faster than a BTA going by my reading and personal experience.
