Hi all,
Is this some kind of precipitation or its dust from my rock ? I constantly sucks all those particle out but it's a neverending battle. I have a clearisea filter roller running but not helping much. Tanks is 5 month old and it used to have sand( special grade). I removed it 4 months ago. What can this be? some sort of precipitation or dust? thanks
ph8.4-8.5 (co2 scrubber)
temp 77.5
ALK 7.5 ( esv 29ml a day)
Cal 420 (esv 26 ml a day)

You have a higher than normal pH - Which means - it could be precipitate - the way the video is uploaded I cant see ti - I would suggest filter socks. Having said that - it also depends on how much flow you have. Most 'precipitate' - will eventually settle to the ground - or be filtered out

Might just be what everyone calls detritus.

Normal precipitation (except when the alk dose first hits the water) is usually on an object like sand, a heater, or a pump impeller.
