I don't think it's rude but that's just my opinion. I've bought and sold many $10 frags and would refer to them as "cheap" as both a buyer and a seller.

I wouldn't state it as "cheap" but simply say it's "common/starter" corals. Business is to cater to both ends of Buyers affordability (low & high income paychecks).

Rude? Perhaps. Nothing illegal or immoral about being a bit rude though, is there?

Myself, I find it far more upsetting to see the rack of weed corals (xenia, mint green palys, brown zoanthids, brown monti cap, watermelon mushrooms, etc) marked at $10 a frag. Nothing wrong with these corals, mind you... but why would you pay for stuff your fellow reefers are actively trying to get rid of?

I wouldn't call it rude but he didn't handle it great. I am not sure if he is running a small business or just selling things from his tank but his response was very cut and dry. Instead, they could've been like, 'no I don't have any $10 frags but this is what I do have available'. You know kept the talk going, giving the person buying options, instead of having the consumer guess what they have for sale. I don't know just my opinion.

Well he definitely isn’t a nice guy... I asked him if he would do 2 polyp frags and he said those are a waste of time .

The good news is that there are MANY people (a lot on R2R) who are pleasant and fun to deal with. If the comment rubbed you the wrong way, you can easily find others to deal with. That's the beauty of Capitalism :)...Just take your business to someone else who will appreciate it.
