Is this some sort of red algae or Gracilaria?

I think it's kinda neat/pretty and would like to nurture it into my new 70G setup; but want to make sure it's a friend not foe.
This is growing out from a plate coral frag plug. It's light pink.

I don't consider dictoya a foe, it just depends on your setup. Like any macroalgae, if you like it, keep it. Just keep it trimmed and watch your nitrates and phosphates if you end up with a lot of it.

Definitely a friend, looking forward to seeing it in your new big setup!
