Long time listener, first time prince of darkness question poster. This is the guy right? Don’t see any others (presume they are somewhere).
Aptasia-X and pray? Burn my house down and move to Aruba?
Thanks in advance.

I second this. When I had them we agreed to get along. When I tried to be eradicate them with kalk paste and other comercial products they just stepped up reproduction. CBB and peppermint shrimp keep my three display tanks clear now but they're still in the overflow and sump. I don't worry about them.![]()
Haha. Ooookay I won’t go crazy. If it's only the one I wouldn't go overboard :) If you have the tank size what about a peppermint shrimp?
Alright. This is my planAptasia-X, just give it a good healthy dose :)
But yes, if there is one, there are likely more.
10/4. I’m going to X it and monitor. I’m not considering livestock to handle at this juncture.does look like aiptasia. Manual removal with aiptasia x can prevent spread. Once its established, you'll need something to eat it to get it under control without breaking down the tank.
I do want to note that it's not as harmful as most folks make it out to be, while I'm waiting for my beghia to be delivered, I have a decent amount of aips in my frag tank that don't harm anything unless they are right up against it, in which case it is easily visible and removable.
Sorry you’re not going to join us.Haha. Ooookay I won’t go crazy.
Oh I am joining, just waiting for my application to be processed!Sorry you’re not going to join us.
That’s an Aiptasia but not a relative of the dark family
Totally agree. I tried aiptasia x for like a year and they kept popping back up. F aiptasia knocked them down for goodF aiptasia is my go to
Interesting and thanks!Totally agree. I tried aiptasia x for like a year and they kept popping back up. F aiptasia knocked them down for good
Make sure you let it set per instructions before turning the flow back on!!
Cool.I used “f aptaisia” with he first half dozen, but I would kill one and 2 more would pop up, so I took a shot at getting a couple peppermint shrimp. Within a couple weeks all of them were gone and I’ve not seen any others since. I know they are hit or miss, but they are worth a shot as they are cheap and fun to watch.
I’ve got 2 on the way!Totally agree Mark-Stover. My "one" quickly became many, then quickly became plague like. I tried multiple batches of berghia, all ended up down the overflow into the reef mat, then a file fish which did eliminate the really Aiptasia, but also found some Acans and Pavona tasty, ended up adding Peppermint shrimp just 3 weeks ago (huge shout out to Reeftopia) and Problem solved, they are awesome and haven't bothered any coral yet.
That’s EXACTLY what they (I found another one) look like in my DT!? isn't he the spawn of satan?![]()
your fish be:That’s EXACTLY what they (I found another one) look like in my DT!
