I got this as a free coral a while back with an online order as a “bonus.”

it’s grown and spread a bit. Is it Anthelia?

I’m trying to figure out how I will need to pinch it back or keep it in check.

Yes it certainly is. I have it growing on my overflow. You want to treat it like GSP. Grow it on a 'island' or be prepared to trim/frag on occasion.

Thanks. Can I basically just pinch off sections with a gloved hand or do I need to use the coral cutting tool?

I’m guessing I won’t be able to sell any of the excess so, if I can’t give the trimmings away, what’s the best option?

It's pretty easy to trim back, I have to do it with mine every other month or so. I use a razor blade and dental pick depending on the surface. I have sold a couple of frags, but like GSP it can be hard to give away free so I have had to trash some.
